As a certified R2 electronics recycler at our St. Peters facility, we'll ensure that any data from your electronics is destroyed. That means that when you bring old electronics to Didion Orf for recycling, you don't have to worry about sensitive information getting into the wrong hands.
This category includes CD, DVD, and floppy drives from computers, servers, and other electronic equipment. The circuit board must be present.
These include server, telecom, military, and medical grade boards. Circuit boards should be free of batteries, excess steel, aluminum heat sinks, and any other foreign attachments.
We accept motherboards out of desktop computers and laptops. As well as PCI cards, expansion boards, and other boards that are removed from computers and laptops. The prices of these boards may vary depending on the precious metal content.
These include digital satellite receiver boards, floppy disk boards, household router/modem boards, and boards that contain medium amounts of precious metals.
Consist of TV/monitor boards, DVD/VCR boards, and other lower grade circuit boards with little precious metal recovery, but higher copper recovery.

Hard drives received at our facility are handled properly to ensure data destruction and security. Material containing hard drives are taken apart and the hard drive is destroyed in a safe and secure manner. A certificate of recycling is available upon request.
Cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors are handled at our facility for a small fee ($10.00 per unit). CRT monitors are the older style of monitor. As technology has progressed, these monitors have become obsolete. It is important that these monitors are recycled at facilities that are capable of processing them correctly. Didion Orf Recycling receives CRT monitors and packages them according to all pertinent laws and regulations, then sends them to approved downstream vendors for proper recycling.
Liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors have replaced older CRT monitors. Although they are more convenient, they too must be recycled properly. LCD Monitors contain mercury in their backlights and if not handled properly, can have a negative impact on the environment. Bring them to us and we will recycle them at no cost to you.
We can take printers, copiers, fax machines, and other consumer/household electronics. Most of these items are free to drop off for recycling.
We accept power supply units removed from computers, servers, and manufacturing equipment. Power supplies with wire must be separated from power supplies without wire.
May contain memory from computers, laptops, servers, and copy machines. Please keep the Gold memory separate from silver memory.
Similar to CRT monitors, Didion Orf Recycling receives CRT televisions for a fee of .40 cents/pound. We package them according to all pertinent laws and regulations, then sends them to approved downstream vendors for proper recycling.
Similar to LCD monitors, LCD Televisions contain mercury in their backlights. If not handled properly, they can have a negative impact on the environment. Didion Orf Recycling can recycle LCD Televisions properly at no cost to you.
Laptops received should be complete units. Intact components should include: casing, motherboards, CD/DVD drives, and hard drives. Laptops found to be missing components will be graded according to remaining material.
Computer towers received should be complete. Intact components should include: casing, motherboards, power supply, CD/DVD/floppy drives, and hard drives. Towers found to be missing components will be graded according to remaining material.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT broken batteries, alkaline batteries, items containing mercury, PCBs or freon, propane tanks, stolen material, live ammo shells, kegs, or any municipality equipment that does not have correct documentation (railroad iron, fire hydrants, road signs).
